The design of MP² is based on customer requirements and extensive experience from railway company consulting.
MP² Integrated Package covers the whole chain from the creation of timetables and routings, through rolling stock optimization, maintenance and crew optimization to analysis and evaluation of scenarios and results. The system bridges planning and financial processes by integrating all relevant cost items, passenger demand and revenue with the timetable. The financial performance of a timetable is displayed as changes are made.
MP² Integrated Package enables all critical parts of the planning process to be carried out in a fully integrated environment.
MP² is primarily used for strategic network planning creating tentative future schedules but may also be used to optimize or simulate optional solutions in specific areas such as depot and crew planning or closer to operations.
By integrating the creation of the timetable and new trains with economical performance and passenger demand, users are given the possibility to analyze consequences of, for example, timetable or capacity changes. This way, to dynamically work with the timetable, strengthens the user’s decision position.
Each and every part of the system is integrated with each other in one single application. This gives the user a unique ability to immediately see what impact each and every change has on the total picture of the production.
