The Fleet Assignment module of MP² Integrated Package assigns aircraft to flights in order to maximize the overall contribution.
The optimization is based on passenger figures reflecting the expected demand per flight and booking class. The system will allocate booking class demand to the appropriate compartment and supports the use of "buckets". MP² dynamically performs an optimization of curtain position, if movable, for each possible aircraft type assignment.
The system loads revenue information per passenger, route and booking class. Any number of classes may be defined. On the same level passenger variable costs are loaded. Production costs are loaded per route and aircraft type.
The passenger figures are associated with expected revenue per passenger as well as a passenger dependent variable cost. They are always entered per booking class or bucket and may therefore be very detailed.
The system also performs Demand Driven Dispatch (DDD). When running the DDD module MP² is connected to the reservation system or any other system that holds accurate booking figures. The DDD module is used to reallocate the equipment close to operation in order to maximize the total contribution.
